Where it is and how to get there

Prolisky lies in Boryspil district of Kyiv Oblast, on the eastern edge of Kyiv. The village sits along the M-03 highway (Kyiv–Kharkiv), 20 minutes from Kyiv. You can arrive by car, by marshrutka from Boryspilska metro station, or by suburban transport; there is a railway station nearby.

Nature and the seasons

The village is surrounded by pine, birch, and mixed forests. In spring the snowdrops that gave the village its name are the first to bloom; summer brings the scent of pine and the shade of birches, autumn turns the woods gold, and winter leaves quiet snowy paths. Far from city lights, the night sky is full of stars.

Recreation

In and around Prolisky there are equipped clearings for picnics and shashlyk, cycling and walking routes through the forest, a lantern-lit pine park for evening strolls, and a modern sports ground with an outdoor table-tennis table.

History and the name

The village is named after snowdrops — the white flowers that wake first in spring. Prolisky officially received its name and status on 27 June 1969. Today it is a well-developed village with modern housing that keeps on growing.

Living in the village

Prolisky has its own shops, supermarkets, cafés, and a school. The mix of quiet, greenery, and closeness to Kyiv makes it a convenient place both to visit and to live near the capital.

Neighbouring Shchaslyve

Prolisky belongs to the Prystolychna hromada together with the neighbouring village of Shchaslyve, where the village council is located.
